Obituary: Eileen Kosarko-Altieri, 74, of Bridgeport
Eileen, known for her dedication and love of family, enjoyed bird watching, history, art, musicals, holidays, baseball, music and gardening.

BRIDGEPORT, CT - (From Pistey Funeral Home) Eileen Kosarko-Altieri age 74, of Bridgeport, widow of Louis J. Altieri, passed away on June 1, 2022 at home. She was a graduate of Harding High School.
An extremely dedicated worker, Eileen excelled in everything she set her mind to. Eileen recently retired from Kitchen Brains of Stratford, Connecticut.
Eileen enjoyed visits to Captain’s Cove, Bridgeport Bluefish baseball games, the Stratford Sea Wall, The Mark Twain House & Museum, Boston MA, and antiquing.
She also loved bird watching, history, art, musicals, holiday decorating, listening to music (all kinds) and gardening. Eileen took great pride in her daffodils, tulips, and sunflowers.
Most of all, spending time with her family, friends, and pets was very important to her. She will be fondly remembered by all for her kind heart, generosity, and willingness to help others.
Those that knew Eileen, know that she had an inner strength and spiritual light about her. Through her actions, she showed resilience, perseverance, and compassion. It is not a coincidence that her name means "Light Bearer”; she shared her light with all and for that we are eternally grateful.
Eileen will be sadly missed by her daughter, Melissa E. (Altieri) Lutinski, and son-in-law, Robert of West Haven; one sister, Sister Dorothy Mary Kosarko of Bridgeport; three brothers, Steven J. Kosarko and his wife, Shirley of Milford, Ronald P. Kosarko and his wife, Dolly, of Trumbull, and Thomas J. Kosarko of Vermont.
She was predeceased by her parents, John (Jr.) and Dorothy (Kulhawik) Kosarko, niece Dawn Kosarko, nephew Paul Ostrosky, Patricia Kosarko (wife of Thomas Kosarko) and "Moochie", her faithful cat.
A memorial mass will be held at St. James Church, 2070 Main Street, Stratford CT 06615 on Wednesday, June 29th at 10:30 a.m. Family and friends are invited to attend.
