'Blessing Boxes' Distributed In Bridgeport For The Holidays (patch.com) — Bridgeport residents in need received a major boost as the city and Alliance for Community Empowerment handed out 2,000 Blessing Boxes filled with food and household essentials at 1151 Park Avenue. The drive-through and walk-up event, supported by local partners and volunteers, focused on easing holiday food insecurity for SNAP and EBT recipients while highlighting Bridgeport’s strong spirit of community care.
   

2. 2 Critically Injured In Bridgeport Crash: Police (patch.com) — A serious two-vehicle crash at North Washington and Housatonic avenues in Bridgeport left a local driver and passenger hospitalized in critical condition after their sedan struck the rear of a parked tractor-trailer.
