Person Hit By MTA Train At Bridgeport: Officials
Trains are at or close to on schedule after a New Haven train headed for Grand Central Station hit a person, according to MTA officials.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A person was struck by a Metro-North Railroad train near Bridgeport on Saturday morning, according to Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials.
Service was been suspended on the Metro-North Railroad between New Haven and Milford after a train bound for Grand Central Station in New York struck a person around 9:15 a.m. The train was experiencing delays of up to 55 minutes in the aftermath of the crash but is back or close to on schedule, according to officials.
The victim, who was not authorized to be on the tracks was taken to an area hospital an area hospital, an MTA spokesperson confirmed to Patch. The extent of the person's injuries has not been released.
