Police Probe Complaint of Dog Attacking Baby in Bridgeport: UPDATE

Police are investigating a complaint that a one year old was mauled by a dog in the city.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — City police are investigating a complaint that a child was mauled by a pit bull on Bond Street, repots the Connecticut Post.

Police say they received a call saying a child had been taken to the hospital with multiple wounds just before 5 p.m. According to News 12, the child's grandmother was trying to enter her bedroom with her grandson holding on to her when the dog lunged at the child and bit him.

Police say the baby boy had bruises and scratches from the dog. News12 further reports that the boy is from Waterbury but was staying with his grandparents in Bridgeport when it happened.
