Residential Structure Fire Extinguished In Bridgeport: Fire Officials

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Bridgeport firefighters extinguished a residential structure fire Tuesday morning in the 400 block of Cleveland Avenue, according to fire officials.

No injuries were reported in the 10:45 a.m. blaze, but the occupants are temporarily relocating to another home, officials said.

When fire units arrived, they discovered the fire in a wall and were able to quickly douse it.

The Bridgeport Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire; power has been shut off to the home by United Illuminating, due to issues with the house service line.
