Several Hospitalized After Bus Crashes Into Cars, Train Station In Bridgeport: Police (patch.com) — Bridgeport residents are being urged to avoid part of Water Street after a Greater Bridgeport Transit bus crashed into several cars and the concrete train station building, sending at least four people to the hospital. Police say all injured were conscious when transported, train service is continuing, and fire officials are checking the station’s structural safety while the accident reconstruction team investigates.

Man arrested at Canadian border after shooting at ex-wife in Bridgeport (wfsb.com) — A Bridgeport woman survived a terrifying attack in the East End after police say her ex-husband hid in her car trunk, fired a shot that missed her, and then assaulted her as she fled. Authorities tracked the suspect to the Vermont-Canada border, where he was arrested on a Bridgeport warrant and now faces serious charges and a $1 million bond.
   

3. N.Y. man convicted in Trumbull sexual assault of girl pleads guilty to sale of marijuana charge (middletownpress.com) — A New York man already serving a lengthy prison term for sexually assaulting a child has now pleaded guilty in Bridgeport to selling marijuana without a license, tied to his 2020 arrest. The plea was entered under the Alford doctrine at the Bridgeport Judicial District Courthouse and adds a concurrent two-year sentence, meaning no additional prison time but closing out the drug case locally.
