Robert Carl Hermanns Jr., long time resident of Bridgeport, CT died suddenly at his home on Saturday, December 27th, 2025. His family grieves for the loss of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Bob was born in Bridgeport, May 13th, 1963 to Robert Carl and Margaret Hermanns. Bob had six sisters who loved him dearly. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1985-1988 and was honorably discharged. He married Amy Darwick, the love of his life in 1988. They settled in Bridgeport and raised three children, Robert Carl III, Joshua Landon and Rachel McKenzie. Bob was known to many in Fairfield County as a trusted automotive professional. Bob loved his family, music, his cats Jinx and Ruthie, and Ruby the Dog. For a man who had a song for every occasion, the room is a bit quieter now. He will be forever missed.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, his son Joshua, and brother-in-law, Art Landry. He is survived by his wife, Amy, and children Robby (Kristin) and Rachel, his granddaughter Ava, and his six sisters, Gail (Paul) Beliveau, Mary McKenzie, Noreen (Ed) Fenton, Shawn Landry, Robin Hermanns and Heidi (Mark) Warren and by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m, with a sharing of memories at 6:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford.
