Robert “Bobby” Edward Santos, age 59 of Bridgeport, died peacefully on March 13, 2025 in the comfort of his home with his family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on April 20, 1965, he was the son of the late Antone M. Santos, Sr., and Katherine Wells Santos. Mr. Santos was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport and was employed for 40 years as a construction worker for the Capozziello Building and Wrecking Co. A skilled automotive mechanic and classic car enthusiast, Mr. Santos helped countless friends and relatives with all their necessary auto repairs and projects. Ever proud of his Portuguese heritage, Bobby’s passion was cooking his favorite family recipes for family gatherings and holidays. He was a fan of gangster movies and appreciated all genres of music, especially old school rhythm and blues. Bobby valued the little things in life, would help others in their time of need and was exceptionally proud of his countless nieces and nephews. His kindness and inspiration will be long remembered for generations.
Bobby is survived by brothers, Stephen Santos of Bridgeport, Victor (Lucy) Santos of FL; sisters, Lorraine Santos of Waterbury and Katherine Santos of GA. He is also survived by cherished nieces and nephews; Lorraine Cosby, Tracy Cosby, Howard Cosby, Tanisha Sanchez, Eric Wells, Stephanie Wells, Tabatha Nunez, Antone Santos, Yassinia Deleon, Samantha Santos, Giana Deleon, Victor Santos, Kayana Santos, Mahlon Jackson, Michelle Maldonado, Noah Washington and Abriella Washington; and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Antone Santos and sister, Sandra Wells.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, March 24, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Unity Hill United Church of Christ, 364 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia, is in care of arrangements.
