'She Goes Out of Her Way to Help Other People': Lyme Local Hero

LYME, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Hero's job: Volunteer, caring philanthropist

Relationship to nominee: Longtime friend

Reason for recognition: Linda Spatz goes out of her way to help other people in myriad ways. She has made beautiful masks for hundreds of people. She has helped her friends Emotionally and philanthropically in emergencies.

One thing to know: She is terrific at identifying her friends needs and making life a lot better by helping them out as much as she can. She is one in a million!
