Stolen Dog Reunited With Family In Bridgeport: Report

Gabby Dixon's 2-year-old Maltese mix reportedly had been missing since Father's Day.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 2-year-old Maltese mix that had been stolen from the front yard of a Bridgeport family was returned to the family soon after news reports of the incident.

Gabby Dixon's 2-year-old Maltese mix, named Willie, reportedly had been taken on Father's Day, and was returned a few days later, according to News 12 Connecticut.

Christine Baptiste Perez, Gabby's mother, got a call from a woman who told her she found the dog on the street, and returned it. Perez reportedly did not ask questions, simply happy to have the dog back.

According to Bridgeport Police Chief Roderick Porter, the dog had been shaved, likely to try to alter its appearance.
