Suspect Arrested On Murder Charge In Fatal Bridgeport Shooting: Police
Bridgeport resident Nyair Nixon was shot and killed on Sept. 27, 2020, at the Keystone nightclub.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A second suspect has been charged in connection with the 2020 fatal shooting of a man at a Bridgeport nightclub, authorities said.
Quinten Mckoy, 33, of Bridgeport, was charged Friday with murder, criminal possession of a firearm, and carrying a pistol without a permit in the killing of 21-year-old Nyair Nixon. Nixon, also of Bridgeport, was shot in the torso inside the Keystone nightclub during the early morning hours of Sept. 27, 2020, according to police.
Mckoy, also known by the alias "Quack," is currently in custody on an unrelated matter. He was served with the arrest warrant Friday at Bridgeport Superior Court by Detective Thomas Harper of the Police Department’s Homicide Unit.

Another man, Charles Young, was previously arrested and charged in connection with Nixon’s death. Investigators said the shooting stemmed from a dispute inside the crowded venue, and that surveillance evidence placed both Young and Mckoy inside the club and leaving together following the incident.
The investigation into the case has remained active, led by the Bridgeport Police Department’s Homicide Unit in coordination with the Bridgeport State’s Attorney’s Office. New evidence led to the additional charges against Mckoy, police said.
At the time of the incident, the Keystone nightclub was being operated by Bridgeport City Councilwoman Eneida Martinez, police said. Martinez was arrested in October 2020 and charged with reckless endangerment and the illegal sale of alcohol.
The shooting occurred during a period when COVID-19 restrictions were still in effect.
