Thieves Steal Car, Drop Off Child Inside At Bridgeport Firehouse

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Thieves who stole a vehicle in Stratford on Wednesday afternoon discovered that a 3-year-old child was in the backseat, so they dropped the child off at a Bridgeport fire station before speeding off, News 12 Connecticut and DoingItLocal.com reported.

The child was reportedly unharmed when dropped off at the Station 10 firehouse on Boston Avenue, and two suspects have been apprehended.

According to authorities, the vehicle had been stolen at a gas station, and after dropping off the child, the two suspects led Stratford, Bridgeport and state police on a chase on Route 8 and I-95, before crashing near exit 25.

The two suspects fled on foot and were caught.
