Woman Shot In Face, Neck By Attacker In Vehicle: Police

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A woman was shot in the face and neck while traveling in a car ovenight in Bridgeport, according to police.

Officers responded shortly after 12:30 a.m. Sunday to the 100 block of Holly Street for a reported shooting, authorities said, adding the victim drove herself to a hospital.

The 28-year-old Bridgeport woman told officers she was struck by a person firing from a dark-colored vehicle traveling in the area, according to police, who said the victim was in critical condition Sunday morning but was expected to survive.
