Brookfield Dog Licensing Deadline Is Approaching

Brookfield residents must license their dogs to avoid penalties; fees vary based on spay or neuter status.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Dog owners in Brookfield are reminded that all dogs six months or older must be licensed during the month of June, in accordance with state law.

Licensing fees are $8 for neutered or spayed dogs and $19 for those that are not. Owners must provide a certificate from a veterinarian verifying the animal’s spay or neuter status, along with proof of a current rabies vaccination.

Licenses and renewals can be obtained online, by mail, or in person at the Town Clerk’s office at Brookfield Town Hall, 100 Pocono Road, during regular business hours. Penalties for noncompliance begin July 1.
