Santa To Visit Brookfield For Grand Opening Of Food Emporium At Brookfield Village

The Jolly One and other visitors will be met​ with food samplings​, photo ops​ and a raffle, from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Santa will be visiting Brookfield a few days early to make the grand opening of the new Food Emporium a bit more festive.

The Jolly One and other visitors will be met with food samplings, photo ops and a raffle, from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20.

"With the addition of about 1 ½ miles of sidewalk and 55 roadside parking spaces since 2017, residents are finding it easier to support businesses like the Food Emporium in our downtown," said Brookfield Economic Development Director Greg Dembowski.

The store is the anchor tenant of Brookfield Village, a multi-phase development that has transformed the Four Corners area with new apartments, restaurants and retail space.

"Next summer we are planning to complete the next streetscape phase which will add 33 additional parking spaces, 1,200 of sidewalk and an upgrade to the crosswalk into the Food Emporium," Dembowski said.
