Brookfield Firetruck Crashes In New York Ditch: FD

BROOKFIELD, CT — A fire engine operated by The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department's Candlewood Company ended up in a ditch in Putnam County, NY, on Tuesday.

No one was injured, and no other vehicles were involved, according to a post from a BFD spokesperson on Facebook.

The "mishap" occurred on Haviland Hollow Road in Putnam Lake Tuesday afternoon while the engine was on its way for service, according to the report.
