The Brookfield Republican Town Committee will hold a 2024 U.S. Senate Candidate Forum with the two candidates, Gerry Smith and Matthew Corey, who will be on the primary ballot to capture the Republican nomination.

Gerry Smith is a four-term First Selectman of Beacon Falls, CT, having previously served his community on various boards and commissions.
Matt Corey, a businessman from Manchester, CT, owns and operates the One Wood Pub at the East Hartford Golf Course, having previously served in the US Navy.

At the State Convention in New Britain this past May, Gerry Smith garnered the most delegate votes to win the nomination. However, Matt Corey received enough votes to force a primary.
The Forum will take place on Sunday, August 4th at Brisas Latin Fusion Restaurant at 779 Federal Road in the 4Corners section of Brookfield. The program will be from 5:30 until 7pm. There is no charge for this event although donations are welcome. This is a Republican-only event.
All registered Republicans across the state are eligible to vote in the primary on Tuesday August 13, 2024. Early Primary voting begins on August 5, 2024. Consult your town’s Registrar for days, times and locations.
