Brookfield Knights Of Columbus, IGNITE, Have Best Clothing Drive Ever

The Brookfield Knights of Columbus and the IGNITE Youth Ministry just completed their most successful Coats for Family Drive ever.

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Brookfield Knights of Columbus along with the IGNITE Youth Ministry at St. Joseph's Catholic Church has just completed their most successful Coats for Family Drive ever.

Together the two organizations collected and delivered more than 500 coats, as well as dozens of hats, gloves, and scarves.

Many of the donations were collected by students and teachers at Brookfield’s Candlewood Lake Elementary School, and $900 in cash was collected at the groups' Annual Bowl-A-Thon at Strikers in Brookfield.

The clothing items were delivered to Dorothy Day, Amos House, and Family and Children's Aid of Danbury. The cash donations were used to purchase items that were packaged by IGNITE in more than 50 "stuff a box" gifts and delivered to Social Services of Brookfield.
