Brookfield Lions Club Organizes Blood Drive

BROOKFIELD, CT —The Brookfield Lions Club is sponsoring a blood drive.

Blood donations will be accepted in the Fellowship Hall of the Congregational Church of Brookfield, 160 Whisconier Road, on Wednesday, Dec. 28, from 1:30 - 6:30 p.m.

Approximately 29,000 units of red blood cells are needed every day in the U. S., according to the Red Cross. That translates into someone in the U.S. needing blood and or platelets every 2 seconds.
