Brookfield Local Hero Is An Emergency Department Nurse

BROOKFIELD, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

Brenna Mihaly nominated Brookfield's Mercedes Singer Emergency Department registered nurse Mercedes Singer as a Local Hero.

"She treats every patient with the same care she’d give her own family and is always willing to help," Mihaly said. "You would be so lucky to have her as your nurse."
