Brookfield Magnet School Parents Grateful for Reinstated Bus Stop

First Selectman Steve Dunn moved the stop back to its original location on his second day in office.

From the Brookfield DTC:

BROOKFIELD, CT (March 14, 2016) – Brookfield parents of students who attend the Academy of International Studies magnet elementary school in Danbury are grateful to have had their bus stop moved back to Town Hall this school year.

“We are so thankful to Steve Dunn for being the voice of reason, listening to parents and finding a common sense solution to this issue. Town Hall is a central location for many of us struggling to get our children off to school and get to work ourselves.” said magnet school parent, Dana Murphy.

The reinstated bus stop comes with it measures put in place to ensure the safety of students, parents and employees working at Town Hall. Holding true to his promise, Dunn turned concerns into action and crafted a compromise that meets the needs of all involved.

“As a parent of children at AIS and a resident of Brookfield, I was very pleased with the way the bus stop issue was addressed by First Selectman Dunn. Steve Dunn promised the parents that he would look into this issue immediately upon taking office if elected. I was delightfully surprised with the speed of his kept promise, and of course with the outcome!” stated parent and Brookfield resident, Christina Cumberton.
