Brookfield Police Department Mourns the Loss of Retired Officer Kevin J. Seeley
Officer Kevin J. Seeley joined the Brookfield Police Department in 1977 and faithfully served the citizens of Brookfield for nearly 36 years
BROOKFIELD, CT — Written by the Brookfield Police administration: The Brookfield Police Department family mourns the death of our brother, retired officer, Kevin J. Seeley. Kevin died at Danbury Hospital on Monday, October 17, 2016. Kevin began his law enforcement career with the City of Newburgh, NY Police Department and joined the Brookfield Police Department on October 12, 1977. He faithfully served the citizens of Brookfield for nearly 36 years, retiring as a full-time officer on April 20, 2013.
Kevin continued his association with the Brookfield Police Department, in retirement, serving as a Special Police Officer until the time of his death. During his lengthy career with the Brookfield Police Department, Kevin was a member of the SCUBA Team, served as a Field Training Officer, was a police union official and received numerous awards and commendations for exceptional police work.
Kevin was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. We will miss him and bear his passing with heavy hearts as we hold his family uppermost in our thoughts and prayers.

The Seeley Family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Thursday between the hours of 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held privately at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, NY.
