Brookfield Public Schools Word of the Week: SUBVERSION
How to Undermine Parental Rights in the 21st Century
I believe the question of where the Brookfield School system’s new ‘progressive’ modus operandi is leading us has been answered, at 7:04 Friday morning. Disguised as a bomb threat, the real outcome was disruption to our kids’ education, whatever form that education may be taking.
Let’s review a few issues to gauge how this school year is going. First is the ongoing war of “book banning”; some parents feel that it is more than odd, palpably criminal, to make pornography available to minors. Many States, including Connecticut, have exemptions from minor indecency laws when the lewd material is for ‘educational purposes’. What is the point of making children’s books filled with instructional guides on various sexual acts? What purpose does it serve? I’ve heard many shallow and overly subjective excuses for such material, ranging from how some moron from the New York Times might consider a children’s sex book “a modern masterpiece” to how such books have the power to cure modern mental illnesses. What I never do hear, on the other hand, is how any of these books further our children’s education, which is the one thing that is keeping a lot of people from being charged under 18 USC §1470 for transferring indecent materials to minors. The fact that a fictional book sits in a library doesn’t mean it has an inherent educational purpose. And on a personal note, the next time I hear the term “book banning” I am going to show up to a BOE meeting asking why a copy of Mein Kamph isn’t siting on the school bookshelves. There is no obscene language or pictures in it. Its educational purpose far outweighs that of some oral sex instructional comic strip. Why can 6th graders learn about sexual positions and not how maniacal ideas turn into national socialism just before it implodes? The latter seems shocking in its current relevancy.
Second, there is the recent incident which appears to have cemented Brookfield’s place in history: the tampon dispenser in the boy’s room, and its glorious aftermath. National news, Dr. Barile has become internet famous, the Twitter and TikTok world is awash in our Town’s follies, the man who ripped the dispenser off the wall has received a congratulatory letter from President Trump. If I didn’t see these events with my own eyes, I wouldn’t believe one word of the last sentence; yes all this actually happened. I, nor my wife, ever remember tampon/pad dispensers in high school. Reason would dictate that those items should be available at the nurse. How did we get the point of dispensers in the boy’s bathroom? If you want to know the answer to that question, I will tell you: it’s none of your business, please move along.

Third, what has this week brought us, Mr. Internet Famous Dr. Barile? Are you in the news and the TikToks again because of some rogue teacher telling our kids that they are acting like bigots for recognizing biological figures? Assuming genders or pronouns? Dr. Barile needs to find a way to monetize his new fame, maybe there is a chance for his own reality show. Yes, leaked audio this week shows one of Brookfield’s middle school educators telling our kids how bigoted they are. Did I mention this is Whisconier? Middle? School?
Don’t miss the point here, dear readers; we hoped it would never happen in our town, but we all know this crap goes on in Brookfield. I personally assume that there is a closet full of chest binders that the staff dangles at kids in the hallway, that there are internal protocols in place to hide children’s gender dysphoric symptoms from their parents. I read my kid’s assignment questioning the morality of colonialism in the 19th century; an assignment written on Google software and sent over the internet. Do they teach the word ‘irony’ anymore? I assume the worst is going on inside the schools. The problem is that some kid recorded some of this behavior and unleashed it outside the walls of Whisconier. THAT IS THE PROBLEM, that it got out.

There is a word for all this secret behind closed doors and away from parents activity, and the powers-that-be definitely do NOT want you to know what that word is: its subversion. And you knowing about it defeats its whole purpose. When the tampon dispenser was destroyed, parents weren’t supposed to know about it. The letter only went to the students. You probably don’t even know about the death threats and school shooting threats which happened after a “diversity” (for lack of a better term) assembly a few weeks ago. Parents aren’t supposed to know anything anymore.
What the hell is going on in these public schools? Kids used to go there to receive taxpayer funded education; math, English, sciences, which used to be called “life skills”. Navigating pronoun use is not a life skill, I would expect to find it in an advanced psychiatric textbook on how to deal with narcissistic behavior. Regardless of what happens within those school walls, the first and second persons who should be privy to it are the student and parent.
Why are my kids home from school today, Friday March 8 2024? I can only speculate, and that speculation is leading me to believe that people have reached the end of their tolerance with how Brookfield Schools are being run. They are done with the subversion of parental rights, with the progressive experiments on our children. They want education brought back into the education system. The kids aren’t stupid, and most of parents aren’t either. This bomb threat will not get a congratulatory letter from President Trump, because no one condones this type of action. But it shows that action has been taken, and it was obviously taken in response to something going on in the schools.
