Brookfield School Cleaned After Mold Discovery: Report

Several rooms were professionally cleaned due to the discovery of mold.

BROOKFIELD, CT — A type of mold that can cause coughing and sneezing was discovered under a chair at Huckleberry Hill Elementary School, reports the News Times. The discovery caused several rooms to be cleaned after a teacher found fungi under a chair.

Parents were reportedly notified Friday of the discovery. Powers Environmental of New Milford conducted air quality tests, which came back positive for Aspergillus/Penicillium. Another air quality test was conducted Tuesday.
