Brookfield Superintendent John Barile Named Dean At CCSU

Brookfield Schools Superintendent John Barile is leaving after 10 years to become CCSU's Dean of the School of Education in June.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Brookfield schools superintendent John Barile will be leaving that job to take on a position with Central Connecticut State University, the school announced Monday.

Barile will begin his tenure as the university's dean of the School of Education on June 30. He has been the superintendent for the Brookfield school system nearly 10 years, and an educator for 31 years. He began his career in education as a classroom teacher working at Harborside Middle School in Milford, according to his biography.

"I am truly honored to join the vibrant community at Central Connecticut State University as the new Dean of the School of Education," Dr. Barile said in a statement. "I am deeply excited to work alongside our talented faculty, dedicated students, and our community partners to shape the future of education."
