Brookfield Woman Killed In Hit And Run: Police

BREAKING: Police are still trying to find the car that struck a local woman Monday night.

BROOKFIELD, CT — A local woman was killed after she was struck by an unknown vehicle on Sandy Lane and Homestead Lane Monday night. Police said the woman, who was not identified, was struck by a vehicle that did not stop after hitting her.

The vehicle is believed to have damage to the center and or left side of the front of the vehicle. It left eastbound on Sandy Lane Road to Old Gray's Bridge Road.

Anyone who was in the area and may have seen the crash is asked to contact Michael O'Brien at the Brookfield Police Department at 203-740-4121.

Sandy Lane was closed at the crash site until 10 p.m. The woman is not being identified at this time, police said.
