Demolition Begins For Federal Road Improvements In Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, CT — Demolition of two buildings is scheduled to begin Thursday as Brookfield prepares for the Lower Federal Road Improvement Project.
Crews will begin demolishing the former site of J Ramen House at 316 Federal Road and the home north of it Thursday; demolition is scheduled to last two weeks, according to the town.
Survey workers will also be along the roadway for the next several months. Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2022, the town said.

The project includes 5,300 feet of roadway improvements on Federal Road from BJ's to the shopping plaza at 317 Federal Road. These improvements include bus shelters, sidewalks, additional turn lanes, and new traffic signals.
