New Oil Painting Exhibition At Brookfield Library Art Gallery

BROOKFIELD, CT —The Brookfield Library Art Gallery will present "Land and Sea Melodies," an exhibition of oil paintings by Litchfield County artist Beth Carlson, from Sept. 2 to Oct. 26.

Carlson's work is inspired by the scenery of the Northwest corner of Connecticut. She "strives to celebrate the beauty of the local landscape using oils on canvas," the gallery said in a statement promoting the exhibition.

The public is invited to attend the exhibition reception and meet Carlson on Sept. 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. in The Brookfield Library Art Gallery.

The Brookfield Library Art Gallery is located in the library's Community Room and is open during the library’s regular operating hours. Visitors must check in at the circulation desk before entering the gallery.
