EXPECT DELAYS: Downed Utility Pole And Power Lines Snarl Traffic In Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company is warning motorists away from a road closure following an accident shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Long Meadow Hill is closed from Iron works to Old Bridge. All traffic wanting to head north of Iron Works (Old Bridge and New Bridge Roads) will need to go into New Milford and head south on Pumpkin Hill Road.

"This closure will be for a few hours at a minimum," fire officials advised on social media shortly after the accident.
