Former Brookfield School Administrator Dead At 45

BROOKFIELD, CT — A former Brookfield elementary school administrator died May 13 at age 45.

Lisa Marie Sweeting was the office administrator and athletic director at Saint Rose of Lima School in Newtown for the past four years, according to her obituary posted by Honan Funeral Home. Prior to her work there, Sweeting was admissions coordinator at Saint Joseph’s School in Brookfield.

While her own children were still very young, Sweeting supported other moms while serving as the regional president of the MOMS club – Moms Offering Moms Support.

She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Russell James Sweeting; her three children Lily, Ryan, and Evelyn; and her parents and brothers, Tom Jr., and Michael.

Services were held at Honan Funeral Home and at St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown.
