Get Creative: Brookfield Library Wants To See Your Taters

BROOKFIELD, CT — There's still time to submit your spud.

The Brookfield Library is pushing tubers as part of its Potato Decorating Contest, going on through Sept. 16.

Children in kindergarten through 5th grade can pick up their spud from the library Reference Desk, take it home, decorate it as their favorite book character, then return it to the library before the deadline to enter.

The community will have the opportunity to vote, and prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
