Hillary Clinton Coming To Brookfield Saturday
The former first lady and presidential candidate is releasing a memoir about one of the most tumultuous campaigns in U.S. history.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Hundreds will line up at Costco on Rte. 7 midday tomorrow for polarizing event that is grabbing national headlines. Hillary Clinton will be holding a book signing for her memoir "What Happened," a detailing of the events of the 2016 election.
Brookfield's Republican Town Committee chairman Greg Dembowski told the News Times that a dozen police and EMS personnel have been assigned to the event, however Police Chief James Purcell declined to discuss staffing due to security reasons.

The former first lady is expected to sign 1,000 copies of her memoir to Costco members only. Wristbands will be distributed.
Clinton, who fell to Donald Trump in the 2016 election after being tabbed as a heavy favorite, has stated she is "letting her guard down" in her memoir on the campaign. The memoir hit stores on Sept. 12.

The book's description says Clinton will take the reader inside "an election marked by rage, sexism, exhilarating highs and infuriating lows, stranger-than-fiction twists, Russian interference, and an opponent who broke all the rules."
President Donald Trump has fired back at Clinton, using his usual method through his Twitter account.

The event begins at noon. She will also be appearing in Middletown at the Wesleyan RJ Julia Bookstore located at 413 Main Street at 2 p.m. Attendees will need a ticket to the event, which costs $30.
