From Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright August Wilson, this one-man comedy chronicles his life as a Black artist in the Hill District in Pittsburgh. From stories about his first jobs to his first loves and his experiences with racism, Wilson recounts his life from his roots to the completion of THE AMERICAN CENTURY CYCLE and gives an inside look into one of the most celebrated playwriting voices of the twentieth century.

With particular interest to all creative people, these compelling stories are delivered with warmth, humor, and style by the incredibly talented Jeramie Gladman. He returns to Brookfield after appearing in "Sweat" by Lynn Nottage in 2022, as Donnie in "DOT" in 2021, and previously as Burrs in "The Wild Party". Other credits include Marty in "Dreamgirls" (Fairfield Center Stage), Annas in "Jesus Christ Superstar" (Downtown Cabaret) and in Los Angeles "Gaining Ground" (Ark Theatre) and "Insurrection: Holding History" (Celebration Theatre).

This psychological drama tells the fictional story of “Touched” Thomas who resides in Inishfree with his mother. He buys her sweets every day. It’s Thomas’ daily mission to spread God’s word to friends and neighbors. When evil descends, it is up to Thomas to purge the town of its self inflicted doom and save them all...but at what cost?

Misterman also features the voices of Todd Santa Maria, Aaron Kaplan, Beth Bonnabeau, Jackie Decho Holm, Mark Feltch, Alicia Dempster, Marilyn Hart, Reesa Nestor, and Matt Austin
