It’s Finally Beginning to Feel Like Fall in Brookfield
The Brookfield area awoke to the coldest temperatures of the season thus far. Find out when it will warm up.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Apparently, we are going to change seasons after all as the state woke up to a very chilly Columbus Day and frost advisories are in effect for most of Connecticut in the overnight hours running into mid Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
The “Frost Advisory” is in effect for all areas of the state except for communities on the immediate Connecticut coast from Greenwich to New London. But once you move a bit inland the “Frost Advisory” is in effect beginning around 2 a.m. Tuesday and continuing until 9 a.m. Tuesday.
What this means is it will be the coldest temps of the season thus far with temps falling into the low to mid 30s in inland Connecticut. Areas along the shoreline will be chilly but not as cold with temps near 40 degrees. The weather service says sensitive outdoor plants which are not protected or brought indoors could be damaged by frost.
