Lane Closures Scheduled For Interstate 84 Through Brookfield

Work will begin Monday, Sept. 30, and run through Monday, Oct. 28.

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced a month of evening and overnight lane closures on Interstate 84, beginning next week.

Crews will be removing dead, diseased, and decaying trees and vegetation from along the side of the highway in Danbury and Brookfield. Work will begin Monday, Sept. 30, and run through Monday, Oct. 28.

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-84 East and West between 6:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., Monday-Thursday. No work will be performed around any scheduled holidays.

Traffic control signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone, according to CTDOT.

The schedule is subject to modifications or extensions in the event of weather delays or other unforeseen conditions, CTDOT advised.
