Lia Nail Salon Opens In Brookfield With Support From Local Leaders

BROOKFIELD, CT — Town officials joined community members on April 24 to celebrate the grand opening of Lia Nail Salon at 491 Federal Road.

The ribbon-cutting event was hosted by the Brookfield Economic Development Commission and the Health Department to mark the launch of the new business founded by Blanca Arana.

Arana, who began her career in the nail industry in 2016, described the opening as the realization of a long-held dream. Her journey began in Torrington and later continued in Danbury, where she gained experience at both Korean- and Hispanic-owned salons over nearly a decade.

"I decided to open my own space in Brookfield—a dream that had been growing quietly in my heart for years," Arana said. "Today, I am proud to offer a welcoming environment where I can express my creativity and connect with clients on a more personal level. This isn’t just my career - it's my passion, and I’m so grateful for every step that brought me here."
