Foncello, current CT State Rep for the 107th House District, was unanimously endorsed by delegates from Brookfield, Newtown and Bethel

Martin Foncello, current CT State Representative for the 107th House District, was unanimously endorsed by delegates from Brookfield, Newtown and Bethel at a convention for the 107th House District last Thursday night, May 16th, at Brookfield Town Hall.

As he spoke to the attendees, Marty graciously accepted the nomination and their endorsement as Republican candidate for the upcoming election in November.
Marty has a long record of public service in both the military and civilian sectors. He served two terms as Brookfield First Selectman from December 1999 to December 2003. Following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Lieutenant Colonel Foncello was called to Active Duty in Washington, D.C., where he served as an Intelligence Officer with the Army’s Intelligence & Security Command.

After leaving elected office, Marty accepted a senior position in the newly created Department of Homeland Security (DHS) within their Office of Intelligence & Analysis.
In 2022, Marty ran a successful campaign to represent the 107th and in his tenure in the State Legislature in Hartford, has served on the following very active committees:
- Aging
- Appropriations
- Education
A conservative voice, Marty looks forward to continue serving the people in his District and representing them in Hartford. “I’m proud of what we have accomplished in Hartford during this term but there is still much more to do,” he said. “I want to keep fighting for seniors, children, taxpayers and veterans, and for public safety in our community. I have the experience, the vision and the passion to make a difference.”
