In Memory of Nellie M. Ciliberti, 82, of Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, CT — Nellie M. Ciliberti, 82, of Brookfield, mother of Jennifer M. Beers, died at her home on Wednesday morning, September 28, 2016.Mrs. Ciliberti was the wife of the late Jack Ciliberti.Nellie was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, January 1, 1934, daughter of Charles and Genoveva (Cintron) Lopez. She attended schools in Ponce, Puerto Rico and graduated from Ponce High School with the Class of 1951.She came to the United States in 1955 settling in New York , NY where she was employed as a secretary. In 1958, Nellie was united in marriage to her husband Jack and together in 1972 relocated to Danbury and later to Brookfield.

Mrs. Ciliberti was a retired sales associate with J.C. Penny, and a member of the Brookfield Senior Center and the Congregational Church of Brookfield.She enjoyed square dancing, card playing and travel.In addition to her daughter, Jennifer Beers and her husband Don of Brookfield, Mrs. Ciliberti is survived by two grandsons, Dylan and Jake.

Funeral services took place on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 1 p.m. in the Congregational Church of Brookfield, 160 Whisconier Rd., Brookfield with the Rev .Bryn Smallwood-Garcia, Rector, officiating. Burial followed in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.There will be no calling hours.
