Obituary: Bruce A. Voutas Sr., 62, of Brookfield

He enjoyed flying and golfing and was a member of the E.A.A. (Experimental Aircraft Association).

Bruce A. Voutas Sr., 62, of Brookfield, husband of Barbara (Washkowich) Voutas, died on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Danbury Hospital.

Mr. Voutas was born in Brunswick, Maine, June 23, 1955, son of Andrew and Blanche (Politias) Voutas.

He relocated with his family in 1958 to Danbury where he attended Danbury schools and graduated from Danbury High School with the Class of 1973. He later attended Fisher Auto Body School of Tarrytown, NY.

Mr. Voutas was the president and owner of Andy’s Auto Coach Works of New Milford, CT and was a past president of the area and state Auto Body Association.

He enjoyed flying and golfing and was a member of the E.A.A. (Experimental Aircraft Association).

In addition to his wife Barbara of 41 years, he is survived by a son, Bruce A. Voutas, Jr.; a sister, Diane Voutas Michaels and her husband Charles Sr. as well as several nephews.

Funeral services will be private. There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Diebold Cancer Center, New Milford Hospital, New Milford, CT 06776 would be appreciated.
