BROOKFIELD, CT — The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company has reported one motorist was hospitalized after a car collided with a tractor-trailer.

The accident occurred in front of the Brookfield Library on Saturday, and resulted in a significant fuel spill.

One motorist was taken to Danbury Hospital for evaluation, according to BVFC social media.
