Sophie Rugare Godward, 93, a Brookfield resident for over 60 years, Sophie played violin with the Danbury Symphony Orchestra. She was an avid supporter of women’s rights, particularly with regards to educational opportunities and was a vital member of the local chapter of American Association of University Women.

Michael Stephen Dore, 81, worked for IBM for several decades, and accepted a three-year assignment in Paris, France, giving his family a love of travel. Before his retirement, he joined the new IBM Consulting Group and later formed his own small consulting firm focusing on helping nonprofits.

Stanley Clayton Parker, 87, retired from Stanley Parker Chevrolet, his life’s passion, in 2000, and continued his staunch work on the Brookfield Zoning Commission, which he was proudly a part of for 26 years.
