Crash Shuts Down Candlewood Lake Road In Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, CT — The police shut down part of Candlewood Lake Road Wednesday evening following a single-car accident.

The area of around #590 was closed off to through traffic beginning around 6:30 p.m., and emergency crews were called to the scene. Both the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company and Candlewood Lake Company were on the scene.

Police warned residents of the area on social media they might experience a "brief power outage" as crews from Eversource worked at the scene of the crash.
