State Sen. Stephen Harding Jr. Leaves His Local Law Firm: Report

State Sen. Minority Leader and Brookfield resident Harding is leaving his Danbury law firm to join Zabel Schellenberg PLLC in Orange.

BROOKFIELD, CT — State Senate Minority Leader Stephen Harding Jr. is leaving his Danbury-based law firm to join Zabel Schellenberg PLLC in Orange, the Hartford Business Journal is reporting.

Harding, a Republican, represents the 30th Senate District, which includes Brookfield, where he resides. A graduate of Brookfield High School, he earned a marketing degree from Albertus Magnus College and a law degree from New York Law School.

He was first elected to the state House in a 2015 special election to fill an open seat in the 107th District. After serving four terms, he won a seat in the state Senate. Harding has served as Senate minority leader since February 2024.
