Police said the thieves nabbed purses from cars parked at two daycare centers in town.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Police are warning residents after thieves stole purses from two cars parked at daycare centers in town. Police said the thefts occurred while parents were dropping off their children at daycare, and that the purses had valuable items inside.

A Facebook post from the Brookfield Police Department read that thieves are targeting vehicles during the holiday season.

This is especially important at this time of year when we are hurried shopping and are more likely to have items in our cars that would attract thieves," The post read. "Please take the extra few minutes to secure gifts and valuables in your trunks and lock your vehicles."
