Truck Crash & Rollover Lead To Serious Injuries In Brookfield: PD
A driver was taken to the hospital with possible life-threatening injuries after crashing his pickup truck on Route 7, according to police.
BROOKFIELD, CT — State police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that sent a Southbury man to the hospital.
Around 2:50 in the morning on Thursday, Nelson Jorge, 50, was driving his Ford F 150 "in an unknown lane" on Route 7 North, north of Exit 12, according to the state police report. The pickup truck ran off the road "for an unknown reason" and struck the guardrail end in the median. The truck then veered across the road and into the shoulder and up an embankment, causing it to roll over, according to police.
Jorge was transported to Danbury Hospital where he was admitted with "serious possible life-threatening injuries."
