Volunteers Sought For Annual Lake Lillinonah Cleanup

Volunteers will gather at Lake Lillinonah on the annual​ "Save the Lake Day" to remove shoreline debris.

BROOKFIELD, CT — The annual “Save the Lake Day” cleanup at Lake Lillinonah is scheduled for Sunday, June 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., according to organizers Friends of the Lake.

Volunteers will gather at the state boat launch on Route 133 in Bridgewater and be transported by pontoon boats to shoreline areas to collect trash and debris.

Participants are encouraged to wear water shoes and bring a few hours of their time to assist with the effort. Coffee, donuts, water, gloves and garbage bags will be provided at check-in, and pizza will be served after the cleanup.
