2 Killed In Canton Crash: Report

CANTON, CT — Two people were killed in a crash in Canton Saturday night, NBC Connecticut reports, citing police. The crash occurred on Route 44 just before 11 p.m. near Colonial Road.

According to the NBC report, an initial police investigation found that a Jeep carrying three people crossed the double yellow line and collided head-on with a Mercedes-Benz going the opposite way. Two people in the Jeep, a man and a woman, were killed.

The investigation is ongoing.
