Juvenile Charged In Bomb Threat At Canton Intermediate School: Police
The school was evacuated after a note was found stating there was a bomb inside it. No bomb was found, and a child has been arrested.

CANTON, CT — A juvenile has been arrested after a bomb threat caused students and teachers to evacuate Canton Intermediate School Tuesday morning, police said.
The juvenile, who has not been identified, was charged with first-degree falsely reporting an incident, police said.
Canton Intermediate School was evacuated Tuesday morning after a note was found stating that the building had a bomb inside of it, Canton Police Chief Christopher Arciero said.

School officials told officers about the note at around 8:30 a.m., and police said the Connecticut State Police Bomb Unit performed a K9 sweep of the school, which did not find a bomb.

Students and staff were moved to the Canton Community Center on Dyer Avenue, Arciero told Patch, where parents picked up their children.
No injuries were reported, Arciero said.
Police said there is "no ongoing threat to students or school staff" and said Canton Intermediate School will have a typical school day on Wednesday.
