• Canton Announces Holiday Openings/Closings (patch.com) — Canton residents get a heads-up on how town services will operate over Christmas and New Year’s, including special closing times for town offices, the library, and the transfer station. Canton Public Schools’ full holiday break schedule is also laid out so families can plan ahead for closures and the January return to classes.
   

• Canton Road Closed Friday As Storm Slams State (patch.com) — Drivers in Canton are being warned that North Mountain Road is closed near Cherrybrook Road after a powerful rain and wind storm brought down a tree and utility wires. Police are urging motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes while crews address the damage.
   

• Canton Takes Aim At Local Massage Parlor Rules (patch.com) — Canton’s Board of Selectmen has unanimously repealed a long-unused 1975 ordinance that required local approval for massage parlors, saying state licensing already regulates the industry. Officials stressed the change removes an unnecessary hurdle for legitimate businesses, while police continue to handle any criminal concerns and the town considers a separate adult entertainment ordinance to address sex trafficking issues.
