Busy Canton Intersection To Be Closed For Several Days

Work will start this week and continue through next week, according to Canton officials.

CANTON, CT — A key intersection in town will be closed for much of the day for the next several days.

According to the Town of Canton, the Bunker Hill Road/Barbourtown Road Intersection will be closed for road work at times from Monday, Sept. 15, to Wednesday, Sept. 24.

It is being closed, weather permitting, for road work that will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on those days.

Emergency vehicles and school buses will be allowed to pass. All other traffic will be detoured.

"Expect delays and please use caution in this area," wrote the Town of Canton Public Works Department. "Thank you for your patience and cooperation."
